PROPOSED FALL 2024-SPRING 2025 MEAL PLANS
Meal Plan Start Dates:
- Tuesday, August 20th at Breakfast will be the first meal accessed for Fall 2024 Meal Plans
- For early move-in, contact the Office of Residence Life for details
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY MEAL PLAN?
DINING DOLLARS:
- These funds are included with all JMU Dining Meal Plan options. The tax-free declining balance spends dollar for dollar and can be used at any JMU on-campus dining location, including dining halls, retail locations, vending machines, and concessions – purchases at the university stadium, arena & sports fields.
The Benefits:
- Since they’re tax-exempt, Dining Dollars offer guaranteed savings over cash, credit, or Flex Dollars! They also have more spending power than meal “punches” or “swipes”. Dining Dollars can be used for a guest if the cardholder is present at the time of purchase. Any unspent Dining Dollars, only in the fall semester, will roll over to the spring.
MEAL PUNCHES:

1.Meal punches are included as part of your meal plan. You’ll get a certain amount to use each day, week, or semester.

2.Duke Deals: Use your punch for menu items at participating retail locations. View our 2023-2024 Duke Deals. Coming Soon: Fall 2024 – Spring 2025 Duke Deals. Check back in August.

3. Equivalency: One Punch = $7 at Market 64, Memorial Corner Bistro, and Festival Food Court
Where can I use my Punches?
- Entry into all-you-care-to eat dining halls (E-Hall and D-Hall)
- Duke Deals: Use your punch for menu items at several of our retail locations. View our 2023-2024 Duke Deals
- Equivalency: One Punch = $7 at Market 64 and Festival Food Court
GUEST PUNCHES*
- These punches can be used for guests to dine with you or if you’re running low. Only valid at D-Hall & E-Hall resident dining locations. The Meal Plan Holder must be present at the time of purchase.
